Dance Production Entry 4
And at the last bow and the final applause, TDC’s 2nd successful dance production came to a great end. I sat on stage as our emcee interviewed some of our dancers after the finale with a solemn blank expression at the brink of tears. I couldn’t tell if they were to be tears of happiness or sadness. There were too many thoughts going through my head at that point in time. Firstly, I had extreme...

Win or not , it doesn't matter to me anymore .
kimgyugyu: They’ve showed me the best and make me proud being an inspirit , that’s more than enough . even if no one acknowledge their talents , even if no one acknowledge infinite , they can do it , they can reach the top . because they have us .

Dance Production Entry 3
Production is in a couple of hours and all I can say is I’m extremely scared. There’s so much to do. After spending the whole night crying, I’m ready to do my very best today. And yes, I’m about to talk to all my contemporary dancers today too.

Internal musings and confusion.
I’ve been hitting the end of my energy reserve every day, and just managing to fill it up before setting off the next day to deplete my energy reserve again. This must be almost what it feels like to be a professional dancer. I know I shouldn’t complain, since this is what I want to do, and what I can do - so many people don’t have the opportunity to dance and yet would kill...

Is it common for someone who is in a high grade in...
Honestly. It depends, but in my opinion, not really. It depends very much on natural flexibility + diligence to stretch to be more flexible. I am grade 8, and yet, with square hips, I cannot achieve a perfect grande jette. Ask me anything under the sun, moon and stars. Nice questions, mean questions, interesting questions. :)

Dance Production Entry 2
Now production is exactly two weeks away, and you can see the tension building up in everyone. Actually not really. You can simply see the tension building up in me. So much to be done yet so little time. My immune system has not played me a favour in this case, as I have been down with a flu and sore throat since late last week. I’ve been simply loading up on medication before I head to...

When fowl drop dead 10 by 10 everyday.
I was fortunate to be able to follow a fully-fledged veterinarian, Dr. Chong on a case at a bird farm yesterday. This was my first exposure to birds in the veterinary aspect. The case was quite simple. Fowls were dying in tens and the workers could not figure out why. Chickens were not as active as they were before. Dr. Chong enlightened me how to approach a case. Firstly, conduct a...

Dance Production Entry 1
3 weeks left till TDC’s Dance Production is put onto stage. And all I can say is, the production stress is hitting me extremely early. 1. As a contemporary choreographer; It’s never been more of a challenge to handle 18 contemporary dancers on a stage that can only comfortably fit 10 at most. My head choreographer has been missing most of the time due to unavoidable circumstances and...
