Halfway through summer!
I came back after three stressful weeks of intense studying in preparation for my 1st Year BVetMed Finals, and I had no intention of studying or doing anything but enjoying myself for a good month. And that’s what I did!
A whole summer month filled with chilling, dancing with TDC, pretending that I was eating healthy by cutting down my rice intake but eat a whole plate of oily food instead, GANGNAM STYLE with TDC, watching the Olympics, partying with TDC, more TDC and a trickle of summer drama.
And now, its down to business. A budding vet never really has a free summer.
Part 1. Complete 5 more weeks of placements. I’ve just begun work at the Singapore Zoo, and its fantastic. The working conditions did not disappoint. Ten times better than working at Zoo Negara, and the food for the animals - so fresh that I feel hungry in the morning. Take that Zoo Negara with your mouldy bread and over-ripe fruit. TOTALLY unheard of.
I have two weeks to get over my fear of insects and bugs. So far, picking up caterpillars is my biggest achievement.
Part 2. The research project. Ah, the terror. In any case, I’m glad to be able to partner KFC for data to produce my research project. And yes, I have one week at the KFC farm in Bangi when I return on the 20th! *time to expose KFC’s evil behind the scenes wrongdoings :P jkjk*
Til the next time I feel like writing an entry; xx
