Taking Matthew Tseng’s one and a half hour dance class at Studio 68 on Wednesday may have very well been the best £10 I have ever spent.
“In my class, I have two basic rules: 1. Don’t be a diva. 2. Always do your best.”
“Don’t you feel different now than you felt 10 minutes ago? An hour ago?”
“A class is nothing without each and every one of you. It’s just 3 walls and a mirror. You have to give in to class what you want to get back from it.”
The body is a tool of expression, and movement is nothing without intention. There’s no teacher that has managed to bring me to tears while dancing until that day. Thank you for putting me back on the right track.
